i've heard recently that someone got a fake second-chance offer on some artwork i had put up.

I'd feel awful if a fan got scammed on something of mine, so please make sure that the email you get is either from me or Kara, or from EBAY.COM. there can be subdomains (service.ebay.com) and whatnot in there, but it should END in EBAY.COM. if the email address looks fishy at all, do yourself a favor and play it safe and contact me or Kara to make sure it's legit.

If anyone can provide me with an accurate Sketchup-compatible model of a MK-1 Stalwart, or "Stolly," i will draw them being killed in an upcoming issue of The Exterminators, and they will have my eternal gratitude.

I know how much the things i'd get tattooed mean to me, so the idea of something i've done meaning that much to someone else is a truly immense honor. Thank you all very much. i've been a remorseless downloader and filesharer for as long as i can remember. in fact i've recently downloaded quite a bit of stuff and didn't think twice. But then again, i also vote with my dollars, and i actually pay for comics and music and movies that i want to support.

But recently i've been looking at the publishing landscape and seeing the scant difference in a book that can survive and a book that cannot, literally a difference of a thousand or so readers each month can keep a title afloat.

The Exterminators hovered in that dangerous area for a while, chasing that scant handful of readers it needed to stay alive, and eventually had the plug pulled. And then i looked at the download records of several torrents. Thousands of readers! Assuming for a moment that every download was a potential sale, which i realistically do not, those readers could easily keep a book alfoat. Even assuming that a fraction of them were potential sales, which i think i realistically can, there could be enough there to have kept things going.

So, here i stand, at a crossroads. As a proponent of downloading and challenging a lot of creatively and artistically oppressive copyright laws, yet being an artist and my artwork being my only income and intellectual property being my primary worth, where exactly do i draw the line? i wish i had an answer right now, but for now, i'm still scratching my head.

But i did see something on Jamie McKelvie's site that made a lot of sense. I know that i cannot stop the people from doing what they want, sure as i cannot be stopped myself. Personally, i try to support artists whose work i enjoy, and if I've fallen into that category for someone who has illegally downloaded something of mine, i have found a way to purge their souls of that cold and dirty feeling that no doubt came with it!

i don't expect anyone to use it, but if anyone were so inclined, all they have to do is fill in how much they'd like to give, in proportion to how dirty they feel, and click the button to get started down the road to being right with the universe!

So, the folks at SpikeTV.com have launched the new Battle Pope cartoon, done by Noodle Soup, the dudes that brought you Venture Bros! And on top of that, they've already got a handful of episodes up to view! go check it out!

and in celebration of this, i have put up a gallery of the Battle Pope covers on the site! I have some more i need to find the files for, but the lion's share is already in there.

i know some people hate when i talk politics. All i can say is that it won't stop.

Fear Agent vol.4: Hatchet Job TPB cover

So i finished this a while ago, but had no way to post it until my server reset at the end of the month.

So, here she is, the cover for Fear Agent vol4: Hatchet Job, which was written by Rick and the interiors were done by Jerome Opena.



also, i added the version of the Fear Agent: I Against I cover that showed up on the internet before Christmas. Turns out, that cover image will go unused in lieu of a cooler one i did shortly afterward. So, until i decide to share that one, you can check out what will not be:
