Well, Mid-Ohio was a blast.
Kara and i were dog tired Saturday night and were dead asleep by 9 like a couple of oldie olsons, but it was probably for the best, as opposed to a long night spent in the bar. The show treated us well, and there was much love shown, and much fun had by all. A special thanks to everyone who came out.

well, gang, in the morning, i'll be off to scenic Columbus, OH for the post-turkey geekfest known as the Mid-Ohio Con! Hope to see everyone there.... and i mean EVERYONE... or else.
also, i updated the gallery a bit. added some sketches and sequentials, and probably some other stuff i forgot to mention.

Well, Texas was a hoot.
Many thanks to Greg "Hero Camp" Thompson and his lovely wife, Jen, for graciously hosting a zillion people including myself and my girlfriend, Kara. I moved a lotta books and met a lot of fine folks at the show, and did a metric shitload of sketches. Now, i just hafta recover as quickly as possible and get back to the grind.
Two side notes:
1: if you're going on a trip, but aren't in any particular rush to get there, i highly recommend taking a train. We got a sleeper car and it was really a wonderful way to go. For the price of a flight, we got beds to stretch out in and included meals, which were surprisingly excellent. There's a certain romanticism about rail travel put forth by old movies, and it's all true, really.
2: The Incredibles is a fucking awesome movie. Pixar has really outdone themselves here.

Well, this is it, brothers and sisters. Our nation's day of reckoning. Have we learned anything in the last 4 years?
i'll be sitting on pins and needles while we wait to see.
get out there and do the right thing, America. It's almost literally the least you can do, and it's one of the most powerful decisions on the planet -- GIVEN to you for nothing other than being an American.
