XXXombies #3 cover colors, Bad News Bugs.
It's been a long time since i left you without a dope beat to step to.
2008 is in full effect, and with it, i bring artwork!
here are the colors for XXXombies #3, with lineart by the indomitable Kieron Dwyer.

And with the good, comes the bad.
Rich Johnston reports the end of The Exterminators at issue #30. Unfortunately, this is more than mere rumor, and it breaks my heart to know it. I sincerely would like to thank everyone who dared give us a chance for their support. I hope it was fun for you guys, because i know i had a blast. I only regret not being able to do more of it.
In trying times when poor-to-mediocre books are being publicly bashed by the readers who still habitually buy them in droves, but books like ours struggle to find a modest sustainable audience despite the love the fans and critics have shown, it's hard not to take things a little sorely. But those who have read The Exterminators and supported it have been nothing but kind and wonderful to us, for which i can never thank them enough. All good things must pass, but you have all made this one a great time while it lasted.

I'm glad to say I've been reading Exterminators from the very first issue. Proud to have my own Stretch sketch from you, framed, hanging right above my monitor.
It's sad to see it go, but as I've said before, I'll follow you and your art wherever it goes.
Well, on a positive note, that Jaws/Zombie cover is amazing. Love it, man. :)
Tony, that's a damn shame about Exterminators. Such a great comic that a lot of folks are missing out on.
You've hit it right on the head as to why The Exterminators has been canceled, too many loud mouthed fools hating on product they continue to purchase. Exterminators has become one of my favorite reads and it's a disappoint to see it fade out so quickly.
Enough gloom (I'll cry in the corner later haha) That xxxombies cover is KICK ASS!
Man, I feel your pain on this. I feel honored to have been part of this fantastic series you and Simon cooked up.
I think the comics world is better to have had the book, even if it was short lived.
best,
Mike
Wow, now I feel like a douche' bag... I used to work at Borders so I would just read the Exterminators trades that came in, I thought they were: top notch A+ #1 good job every time. I just read them though, I never purchased them...I did that with a lot of books, I was there for 8 years...
Now that's why I'm afraid of ocean water. You never know what's swimming around in there. It's so big that there's plenty of living things that haven't been discovered yet. Eeep! This scares me.
Fantastic Illustration my friend, and the coloring is fantastic. Love the bubbles texture.
I'm sorry to hear about the Exterminators. I'd like to echo what Kyle J. Kaczmarczyk said: Such a great comic that a lot of folks are missing out on.
Will I see you and KaraBear at the next Dr. Sketchy's?
