Sweet Christmas, these goddamned Spambots are going to drive me crazy. Seems my last board modification only made them mad. I installed a new mod on the forum which should block any new non-humans for a while, and Kara must've deleted literally 300 messages posted by these now-banned accounts. There is a special circle deep in hell reserved for the people who program that shit.
So yeah, it should be clean... until Skynet rears its ugly head again. Cheers.

Yeah, the best luck I've had was a mixture of an image verification mod and requiring new members to post in an introduction forum before being granted access to the entire board.
What's crazy though is not all of these spam posts are automated bots. Some of them are poor souls living in third world countries who get paid pennies to post links to herbal viagra.
The spambots are getting cleverer (if that's even a word). Doesn't surprise me to hear that there are some poor sods in a sweatshop thirdworld basement spamming these sites for nowt. They even get them to play Warcraft and Everquest for peanuts!
